MMM...More Beaver!

So yesterday I met Paul and his class down at Taylorville section of the Beaver. I got a quick solo lap in before the van showed up, then I guess you could say about 5 more laps in, as we ended up running most of the rapids at least that many times. He had kids that had never been on that river, or even in a creek boat before, but it was fun to see them pushing themselves. From there we went over to Eagle. Again this weekend we had a bit of a crowd, so I banged out 5 quick laps for them before heading home. I hate that place when it rains, because it takes you about 3 times as long to walk back up. Still had a lot of fun, even though the weather sucked.

It's Labor Day, where's your BEAVER at?

Styling the Tubs

We had an awesome Labor Day weekend last weekend. The typical shit show of people who have no business running the Raquette, and the typical people trying their first continuous rapid on Mosher Falls. Always makes for a good time. Saturday I ran the Raquette with a big group of good boaters. Got 4 laps in which is a good start to the weekend. Sunday it was down to Mosher. 2 laps on the river, and 13 on Mosher Falls left me pretty tired Sunday night. Monday after everyone but Uncle Reliable (Jim) pussed out on the Raquette, we pounded out 2 good laps before we called it quits.

My one Freewheel of the year!

Some dummy running Colton Falls on his head.....yes I believe he swam.

If you don't go down to Mosher and Beaver Weekend, you must be a ritard.
