Well it has been a busy couple of weeks for me. September 27th was opening day of Northern Archery hunting. Saw a bunch of deer but couldn't get one close enough. So far I have three days on stand with nothing to show for but I have a feeling the pre-rut is kicking in and the deer are becoming more active throughout the day which should afford some opportunites.
Sunday Jim, Ron and I as well as the Placid/Watertown/Hudson crew were on the Bottom Moose for the first of the scheduled fall releases. The level was around 4', but all 4' was going down the bottom 4, as the power station is down right now. This made for a pretty juicy run. The lines at powerline and Crystal were really fun, and really pushy.
Wednesday I am having wisdom teeth pulled, so this coming weekend is questionable for boating, but definately game to go chase some game. We'll see what happens.
Sabres are 0-1, Bills lost to Miami yesterday but hey the Yanks are waiting to see who they will be playing in the ALDS so it looks like I will be keeping the sweaters and Bills jerseys in the closet for now and sticking with the pin stripes for at least a week or so....
